The other day, I had a few hours of solo driving ahead of me. Normally, I'd throw on a playlist or podcast and just zone out. But this time, I did something different. I let my mind wander on purpose.
No agenda, no pressure. Just me, the road, and a few open-ended questions bouncing around in my head. Somewhere between towns, ideas started flowing. I started talking out loud: half thoughts, half solutions. It wasn't polished, but it was real. And surprisingly clear.
I'd pass a sign or see something odd out the window and think, "What if that was a business idea?" or "How does that metaphor connect to what I'm working on?" By the time I pulled into my destination, I had a mind full of messy, brilliant ideas. And more energy than when I started.
That drive reminded me that brainstorming doesn't have to be formal. Sometimes, all you need is the road, some silence, and space to think.
